Glassblowing Instruction
We offer beginner and intermediate glassblowing classes, and furnace rental for your ongoing projects. For those of you who are new to our facility, come out and visit, this is an excellent opportunity to find out how glassblowing works and get a feel for our program. For our ongoing students we encourage you to sign up for an intermediate session or schedule some rental furnace time for advanced work.

Students learning to blow glass
Our Beginning Glassblowing course is designed to provide you with the basic introductory skills necessary to complete simple vessels. No previous glassworking experience is required.

The classes are kept small, 4 people per session, so that students may benefit from special attention and individualized instruction. Students will work with partners to maximize time spent at the furnace and aid in the completion of glass pieces. Students should expect to complete the course having made 6-8 pieces of glass.

Four weeks of classes comprise the beginning course, one class session per week. Each weekly session meets for three hours.

Beginning class - demonstrating the first gather


Classes meet on the same day for each of the four weeks (if you choose the Saturday course, your class meets each Saturday for the four weeks)

The Beginning Glassblowing course costs $475. A deposit of $125 is required when registering for the class. The balance will be due in full at the beginning of the first class session. For those interested, personal instruction is available at a cost of $80/hour. Additional furnace time may be rented at the rate of $175 for 3 hour sessions.
